I’m currently participating to the selection for the Beck’s Unacademy, in the urban art section. I’ve already passed the first selection and now I’m looking forward for the final selection, where 5 urban artists will be part of 5 crews of musicians, photographers and videomakers guided by artists like Subsonica, Saturnino, Pao, Yonuts!.
My project for the second step of the competition is called “Ghost ‘n Goblins”. Check out the sketches and don’t forget to support unlocking it on this page: http://unacademy.becks.com/progetto/ghosts-n-goblins
From 27-02 to 11-03 2015 I’ll take part to the collective exhibition in Szewskapasja Gallery in Wroclaw with a project called “NWDP: New Wave of Disco Polo” . Go and take a look if you have the chance to be around Szewska Street in Wroclaw.
Twelve artists residing here for twelve months have a chance, not only to study printmaking on Postgraduate Study Programme in The Faculty of Grahic Arts and Media Art at The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, but first of all- to discover and digest the city, meet new people, visit places and to explore with a fresh perspective to the environment. Now these twelve people have the opportunity to interact with passers-by through the Szewska Pasja Gallery. Fragments of photographs, commercial advertisements, stolen and sometimes borrowed images found in the street formed the starting point of the creative process. This was the “Secret element” which was then subjected to transformations, recycled and creatively reused.
I’ve just come back to Wroclaw from Sweden after an intensive printmaking workshop in Falun, a small city well known for his amazing printmaking center directed by artist Ahmed Mohdir.
I had such a wonderful time with my pals, and I had the chance to experiment photopolymer printmaking technique for the first time with the assistance of my friend Sjoerd Tegelaers.
I created some works that will be part of the project “Tales From the 5D Ultraverse“.
I like the technique, and I think I will develop more projects in the future.
Zinc plates I brought home with me; I will print more copies later.
I shared with 55DSL the most exciting years of my life.
I had the rare chance to work on amazing projects, supported by great people enthusiast of overcoming always new challenges.
I could start counting all the projects I realized with 55 but there are so many, one crazier than the other. Sometimes then fate forces you to take different life paths, closing doors and opening some others. Then happens that you simply need a break period to understand how many incredible chances you had.
My I-Pad face
The memories of an important period of my life will be forever connected with The Bloody Beetroots, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, Bassano del Grappa, 55DSL and above all to Andrea Rosso and his genuine enthusiasm.
For me then it was truly an honor to give my little contribution for the 20 years of 55DSL (even with my face inside an I-Pad!).
You can see my little contribution at 5:00, as well as spotting some of my works through all the entire movie
